Information from Merchants

Store Information

We may collect basic information about your Shopify store, including:

• Store URL or domain
• Store name
• Merchant email address
• Shopify store identifier
• Information necessary to authenticate and operate the App

App Settings and Configuration

We store settings and preferences configured within CurrencyFlow, which may include:

• Supported currencies
• Currency conversion preferences
• Rounding rules
• Currency display settings
• Currency selector design and appearance
• Other App configuration settings

Information from Store Customers

To provide CurrencyFlow’s currency conversion functionality, the App may process limited technical information from customers visiting a participating storefront.

IP Address and Approximate Location

CurrencyFlow may process a customer’s IP address to determine their approximate country or region. This information is used to identify and display an appropriate local currency.

We do not use IP addresses to determine a customer’s precise physical location.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

CurrencyFlow may use cookies or similar browser storage technologies to remember a customer’s selected currency and maintain their currency preference while browsing the storefront.

Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

CurrencyFlow does not intentionally collect or store sensitive customer information such as:

• Payment authentication information
• Customer passwords
• Customer order payment details
• Precise GPS location

CurrencyFlow’s currency conversion functionality is designed to minimize the personal information processed from storefront customers.

• Authenticate and manage merchant accounts.
• Store and apply merchant App settings.
• Detect a customer’s approximate country or region for currency selection.

3. Currency Exchange Rates

CurrencyFlow may use third-party currency exchange-rate providers or APIs to obtain current or periodically updated exchange rates.

Depending on the service used, requests to obtain exchange-rate information may be processed through third-party providers. These providers may receive technical information necessary to fulfill the exchange-rate request.

We do not send customer payment information to currency exchange-rate providers.

We do not sell, rent, or trade merchant or customer personal information.

We retain merchant information and App configuration data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide CurrencyFlow and operate the merchant’s account.

If a merchant uninstalls CurrencyFlow, we will delete or anonymize applicable merchant information within [30/60] days, unless retention is required or permitted by applicable law.

Certain information may be retained for a longer period where necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Customer information processed through the App is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant functionality and operational purposes.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain privacy rights under applicable laws, including rights to:

• Request access to personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of personal information.

If you are a customer shopping on a store that uses CurrencyFlow, you should generally contact the merchant operating that store regarding your personal information. We will cooperate with the merchant where necessary to help fulfill applicable privacy requests.

7. Shopify Data

CurrencyFlow operates in connection with Shopify stores and may access information made available through Shopify’s APIs and platform permissions.

We only request and use information reasonably necessary to provide the App’s functionality.

We do not sell Shopify merchant data or customer data for advertising purposes.

Where applicable, we comply with Shopify’s requirements regarding merchant and customer data, including applicable data deletion requirements following App uninstallation or valid deletion requests.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no method of electronic transmission, storage, or security system is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information.

9. Children’s Privacy

CurrencyFlow is intended for use by businesses and their customers and is not directed toward children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

10. International Data Transfers

Depending on the location of our service providers and infrastructure, information processed through CurrencyFlow may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the country in which the merchant or customer is located.

Where required by applicable law, we will use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
