AI Collection Manager (“App“, “we“, “our“, or “us“) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we retain it, and your rights when you install or use the App with your Shopify store.

By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

To provide the App’s functionality, we collect and store only the information necessary to operate the service.

Merchant Information

We collect:

• Shopify shop domain and shop identifier
• OAuth access tokens required to securely communicate with your Shopify store
• Installation and authentication information
• Subscription plan details and Shopify billing identifiers

Collection Configuration

We store the settings you configure within the App, including:

• Collection sorting rules
• Sorting priorities
• Scheduling preferences
• Shop-wide default settings
• Rule configurations and filters

Operational Logs

To monitor performance and troubleshoot issues, we may store:

• Sort execution timestamps
• Job status and execution results
• Number of products processed
• Error logs and diagnostic information

These logs contain operational information only and are used solely to improve the reliability of the App.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We follow the principle of data minimization.

The App does not collect or permanently store:

• Customer names
• Customer email addresses
• Customer phone numbers
• Customer addresses
• Payment information
• Credit card information
• Individual order details
• Any other personally identifiable customer information

For sales-based sorting features, the App may temporarily access aggregated product sales statistics through Shopify’s Admin API during processing. This information is used only to calculate sorting rules and is not permanently stored.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information exclusively to:

• Authenticate your Shopify store
• Provide automated collection sorting
• Execute manual and scheduled sorting operations
• Store your sorting preferences and configurations
• Process Shopify billing and subscription plans
• Monitor application performance
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Improve the reliability and functionality of the App

We do not use your information for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your information.

Information is shared only when necessary to provide the App’s functionality, including communication with Shopify through the Shopify Admin API to:

• Read product information
• Read inventory information
• Access aggregated order statistics required for sorting
• Update collection product ordering
• Manage app subscriptions and billing

We may also disclose information if required by law or to comply with valid legal requests.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain merchant configuration data only while the App remains installed on your Shopify store.

When the App is uninstalled, or when Shopify submits a shop/redact webhook request, we permanently delete:

• OAuth session tokens
• Collection sorting rules
• Saved configurations
• Scheduling information
• Operational logs
• Billing references
• Any other merchant-specific data associated with your store

6. Shopify Privacy Webhooks

AI Collection Manager complies with Shopify’s mandatory privacy requirements.

The App responds to data requests as required by Shopify. Since the App does not store customer personal information, we respond accordingly.

The App confirms that no customer personal data is stored and processes the webhook in accordance with Shopify’s requirements.

shop/redact

Upon receiving this webhook, all merchant-related data associated with the shop is permanently deleted from our systems.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including:

• HTTPS encryption for all communications
• Secure database storage
• Access controls and authentication
• Limited access to production systems
• Regular security updates and monitoring

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. International Data Processing

Your information may be processed and stored in countries where our hosting providers or infrastructure operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or operational practices.

When material changes are made, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
